Spartanburg’s Community Gathering Space

Located just steps off Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail, Fretwell is Spartanburg’s most vibrant gathering spot. The outdoor space is designed to offer a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for a variety of community and cultural events for all ages. We host live music events, a local farmers market, yoga on the lawn, and private events.

We've been fielding some questions about Little River's new coffee bags, and we're happy to announce...YES! THEY ARE STILL COMPOSTABLE! We know the new look and feel may be confusing, but rest assured that our decisions are made with the environment and sustainability in mind ✔️♻️🌎 It's important to note that, although compostable, these bags require a specific environment to break down properly. Please remove the degassing valve and the black tin ties, and return your empty bags to Fretwell. We'll take care of the rest (dispose of them in the organic waste bins).
French dip? More like French drip! 😋 Swing by the Little River Cafe at Fretwell for a delicious lunch and your favorite drink.
New month = new events! Join us this weekend for live music by local artists: -Friday, September 5th- Echo Operative -Saturday, September 6th- Angela Easterling & The Beguilers All music starts at 6pm. Don't miss out on the Fretwell Market, this Saturday (September 6th) from 9am until 1pm. And in case you missed it, we host a donation-based, outdoor yoga session every Monday on the lawn from 9-10am. See you at Fretwell soon!
It's time for some Smokey Beans! Our house band brings acoustic tunes from the 60s, 70s, and beyond. Join us tonight for a fun show. Music starts at 6 pm! Speaking of beans: make sure you get your coffee beans today, as we'll be CLOSED on Monday, September 1st for Labor Day.
Happy National Dog Day! 🐶 Did you know our lawn is dog-friendly? Bring your pup on a leash and enjoy the Fretwell fun together!* *Dog-friendly means your dog has to be friendly to meet this requirement. Please note only service dogs are allowed inside @littleriverroasting.
